The Siren Hub: How does it work?

February 27, 2019

The Siren Diabetic Socks and Foot Monitoring System collects data from your feet: temperature, movement, and step count. The purpose of the Siren Hub is to collect this data when your Siren App is not open. This way, your temperature, and step count reports are accurate whenever you open the app again.

How does it work?

Once you connect your socks to the Siren Hub, it will automatically start collecting information from your feet. The Siren Hub requires a 2.4GHz WiFi connection and can be plugged into a standard electrical outlet.

Connecting the Siren Hub:

Option 1:

During the Siren App account setup process, follow instructions to plug in your Siren Hub.

Option 2:

Step 1: Open Siren App

Step 2: Go to the 'Settings' tab

Step 3: Choose "Add new plug"

Step 4: Select "Yes" you have home WiFi

Step 5: Select your WiFi network name

Step 6: Input WiFi network password

Step 7: When the dial gets to 100%, your Siren Hub is connected

How close do I need to be to the Siren Hub for data to synchronize?

When you are 15 meters (~50 feet) or less from the Hub while wearing the socks, the Siren Hub will "sync" and collect information from your socks. The WiFi range will depend on distance and surroundings. For the best Hub syncing experience, please wear your socks near the Siren Hub for a minimum of 15 minutes at the end of the day. Reminder: the Siren Hub should be plugged into an outlet where you spend most of your time at home.

What do the hub colors mean?

How to read your hub colors:

Solid blue: hub not connected

Blinking red: network problem

Blinking blue: network OK, but socks are not paired to the hub

Blinking yellow: one sock paired to the hub

Blinking green: both socks paired to the hub
